Join us to hear Jim Knox, Beardsley Zoo’s Curator of Education, to discover an aquatic world of wonder as he shares the Beardsley Zoo’s innovative conservation efforts throughout Long Island Sound and beyond! From discovering the presence of new species in our “backyard”, to bringing regionally extinct species back, the Beardsley Zoo is making big waves in aquatic conservation.
Jim has written for National Geographic and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, hosted PBS television’s Wild Zoofari and has appeared on The Today Show, CBS Early Show, and national news stations.
“Jim is an astounding presenter. He is impeccably well prepared. His witty, intelligent delivery is most compelling. I was impressed with Jim’s broad knowledge on a myriad of subjects and looking forward to hearing him again many times. “
Richard E Hyman, Cousteau Oceanographic Explorer.
