This is your chance to give some love to the boats that are going to be your chariots to Adventure over this season! Look on the list of Skippers and volunteer for the boat near you for this weekend of work on commissioning help for the Skippers who maintain our working infrastructure out to the joy of wind and waves!

Pick a boat and volunteer early with a pitch for for your choice of commissioning duties. As they say, if you’re asked to move a dead horse,  run for the fore leg! Myself, I’d tell the skipper I’m the best wax and washer in the fleet. But you will learn a lot by helping to run the running rigging and other tasks that help put the boat back together after winter. When a skipper gives an order you will know which line is which because you helped put them in place!

Put your calls in as early as you can for as much time as you can during the weekend. Skippers want and need enthusiastic crew who want to help out with a commitment to learn. This will put you at the top of the list when the Skippers call for crew from the message board.
